Mutuelle Vertuo is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to help organizations and individuals set up efficient, sustainable compostable waste collection systems. To do so, we work in partnership with recognized players in Quebec’s residual materials management sector, offering superior support and service to the various players we work with.

- Raising companies’ awareness of organic waste management;
- Full support for businesses in setting up collection systems;
- A la carte services as required;
- Diagnosis of company practices (organics, recyclables);
- Personalized visit report for businesses;
- Requests for service offers (e.g. private collector);
- Customized in-house training;
- Performance monitoring (quality and quantity);

Who?
All institutions, businesses and industries wishing to set up an organic waste collection system with the support of the Mutual’s experts.
How?
- Complete the membership form and pay the annual membership fee;
- Accompany the expert during the diagnostic visit;
- Select a collector if required;
- Acquire the items needed to set up the collection system;
- Set up collection and train employees with expert support;
- Pay collection-related costs;
- Commit to a continuous improvement approach to organics management;
- Mobilize employees.
Business combinations
Who?
Any municipal organization, business development corporation, banner or other business grouping.
How?
- Request a customized service offer for your needs;
- Provide a list of participating organizations;
- Pay for the support of participating companies;
- Support Vertuo’s team of experts during the provision of services;
- Monitor collection performance via the data portal.
